Gadar's Son, Nagam To Join Cong Today

It has been a long time since one has heard of erstwhile revolutionary singer Gaddar. After breaking up his relations with Maoists, he had been toying with the idea of floating his own political outfit.

He even launched a political forum called TMAS, which was sought to be converted into a political party, but it did not take off at all.

There was no proper political ideology for the outfit and for the last few months, there have been no virtually no activity by Gaddar at all.

Now, the latest news is that Gaddar is likely to support the Congress party in the next elections. His son Surya Kiran is all set to join the Congress party on Wednesday.

Suryam, accompanied by former minister Nagam Janardhan Reddy and former BJP leader from Karimnagar Adi Srinivas, went to Delhi on Tuesday to strike a deal with the Congress and they would be formally joining the party in the presence of president Rahul Gandhi in New Delhi.

Suryam would not have taken this decision without the blessings of his father. And he clearly mentioned in his application to the Congress that he would continue to work for the legacy of his father. Though Gaddar might not join the Congress party, he would definitely support his son.

It remains to be seen whether the revolutionary singer would take part in the campaign for his son, if not the Congress party directly.
