The hue and cry raised by power star and Jana Sena Party over the lack of security for him during his Jana Porata Yatra has been brushed aside by Andhra Pradesh police.
On Thursday, Director General of Police V Malakondaiah said instructions had been issued to provide full security cover to Pawan Kalyan. Three sub-divisional police would provide security cover to Pawan in Srikakulam district.
A rope party and police belonging to mufti force, traffic, law and order and personal security officers would take care of Pawan’s security, he said.
There would be security even at his night stay camp.
“There is no confusion or doubt with regard to providing security to Pawan. Only thing is that wherever he goes, his office should provide information to the police well in advance,” the DGP said.
The Jana Sena Party chief was so concerned about security issues that he had to give a break to his yatra for a day on Thursday, as his private security personnel needed rest and a replacement was sought from Hyderabad.
Thousands of his fans and followers gathered at the resort at Santha Seetharampuram in Etcherla mandal to see him, but Pawan preferred to stay put in the resort itself.
