Decision of rebels' disqualification not now!

Telangana Legislative Assembly Speaker S Madhusudan Chary said that the decision on the complaints received by Congress and Telugu Desam Party seeking disqualification of some MLAs, who defected to Telangana Rashtra Samithi, would be taken at an appropriate time.

Speaking to media persons after adjourning the Assembly sine die on Saturday, the Speaker said that he would act on the complaints as per the rules.

When asked about the status of two BSP MLAs, who gave letter informing of their merger with the TRS, he said that the formalities are yet to be completed in this regard and the BSP MLAs were treated as a separate party in the House and accordingly, about one hour of time was allotted to them for discussions.

It may be mentioned that the Congress Legislature Party has lodged a complaint with the Speaker demanding disqualification of MLAs Vithal Reddy, S Redya Naik, Kanakaiah and K Yadaiah who defected to the TRS.

Similarly, the TDP too had sought disqualification of Teegala Krishna Reddy, T Srinivas Yadav and C Dharma Reddy who have recently switched loyalties to the TRS.
