The Congress Party's efforts to win back top leaders to its fold in Andhra Pradesh seem to have failed.
Emissaries were reportedly sent to Vundavalli Arun Kumar and Kiran Kumar Reddy to come back to the Party. Both of them however declined.
This makes it more or less certain that Kiran will soon join the BJP as he has been assured of a Cabinet berth at the Center at the next reshuffle.
Vundavalli is also expected to follow Kiran into the BJP. Having the likes of Vundavalli pitted against the TDP will be an interesting tussle once again.
Out of power and reckoning, how on earth could the Congress have expected these two leaders to come back to its fold?
Besides, if Kiran were to come back to the Congress, nothing short of PCC president would befit his stature.
