Cong Leaders Never Learn From Debacles!

Cong Leaders Never Learn From Debacles!

That the Congress party leaders do not learn any lessons from their debacles in the elections was once again proved at the Congress Legislature Party meeting held on Tuesday, where internal differences came to the fore rather openly.

Several MLAs, including MLAs from Mahbubnagar district D K Aruna and G Chinna Reddy abstained from the meeting.

Makthal MLA Chittem Rammohan Reddy, who was allegedly assaulted by Achampet MLA Guvvala Balaraju, also abstained from the meeting.

It is learnt that Rammohan Reddy was upset with the Congress for taking the attack on him very lightly. DK Aruna too was in the same feeling that the party took her brother’s issue very lightly.

On the other hand, it is learnt that once again Congress MLAs were sore over CLP leader K Jana Reddy’s soft-corner attitude towards the TRS government at the meeting.

The Congress MLAs were opposed to Jana Reddy’s ‘wait-and-see’ policy on redesigning of irrigation projects.

It is learnt that Jana Reddy opined that the TRS government may create an impression that the Opposition parties were opposing construction of projects if the party opposed the redesigning of the projects.

Jana Reddy also reportedly opined that redesigning of irrigation projects may help the State.

“We have to wait what the government would say on redesigning of projects. Then only we can respond to redesigning of projects. The government may take advantage if we attacked it from the beginning”, Jana Reddy opined.

But the party legislators strongly opposed the idea of Jana Reddy outright. Responding on MLAs opinion, Jana Reddy said he would extend support to the MLAs whatever they do in the House.

Reacting to Jana Reddy’s response, senior MLA T Jeevan Reddy said being the CLP leader Jana Reddy has to lead the party MLAs in all issues.

Earlier, a verbal war took place between MLCs Ponguleti Sudhakar Reddy and M Ranga Reddy. It is learnt that both scolded each other.

Ranga Reddy objected that the agenda was sidetracking when Ponguleti asked the CLP to include Water Grid issue along with farmers’ suicides.

Everyone came to the meeting with their self-agenda, Ponguleti said and alleged that rumors doing rounds that the Congress leaders too were getting commissions in the Water Grid project.

“I will take this issue to AICC Chief Sonia Gandhi. Congress will not shine as the main Opposition party in case everyone has their own agenda”, Ponguleti said and walked out from the meeting in a huff.

Meanwhile, Nalgonda MLA and former minister Komatireddy Venkat Reddy too left the meeting in the middle after expressing his opinion that the party has to take up farmers’ suicides as the main agenda in the House.

The party has to take up the issue till the government comes to its senses, he added.
