Brainwashing People, Naidu Way!

Brainwashing People, Naidu Way!

Telugu Desam Party president and Andhra Pradesh chief minister N Chandrababu Naidu has once again proved to be a mastermind in working out plans that would benefit his own people, but at the same time, trying to convince the people that he was doing his benefit to the benefit the state.

There have been allegations from various parts of the state that Naidu has been focusing mostly on Krishna and Guntur districts, neglecting other regions, especially the backward areas of Rayalaseema and north-coastal Andhra.

The choosing of Amaravati as the location for new capital region itself smacked of large scale conspiracy to benefit a section of people closer to Naidu and also large scale corruption. Several other projects are coming up only in and around Vijayawada and Guntur.

There are allegations that Naidu had compromised on special category status by welcoming the special package only for the sake of Polavaram contract that would benefit his own party MP Rayapati Sambasiva Rao, who belongs to his own community.

The latest news is that Naidu had secretly lobbied for bringing railway zone to Vijayawada instead of Visakhapatnam, since it would be beneficial to his own people. But there is a lot of agitation in Visakhapatnam demanding the railway zone.

To appease the people there, Naidu selectively leaked a news stating that neighbouring state of Odisha had agreed to give up legal fight on Polavaram project, if Visakhapatnam remains within its zone.

This is obviously to brainwash the people and tell them that if they want the Polavaram project to be expedited, they should not demand the railway zone for Visakhapatnam.

“In any case, AP will get the railway zone. How does it matter, whether it comes in Vijayawada or Vizag? But, Polavaram is more important and if it has to be constructed, there should be no trouble from Odisha,” Naidu is telling people.

What an idea!
