The prestigious 'All India Institute of Medical Sciences' (AIIMS) is all set to come up in Mangalagiri.
A team from AIIMS is visiting the State in January to take a look at the allotted land and give its approval. Once the approval is given, funds would be released for the construction to start.
The proposed location is TB Sanatorium in Mangalagiri, a very picturesque place. AIIMS had asked for 200 acres of land.
190 acres have been made available and another 10 acres would be procured from the nearby forest lands.
The road leading up to the location will apparently be widened to a hundred feet whereas the ‘Grand Trunk Road’ of Mangalagiri would be linked to the ‘National Highway’.
