At a time when everybody, irrespective of his or her political affiliation, expressed condolences over the killing of P Nishit, son of Andhra Pradesh municipal administration minister P Narayana, in a road accident in the early hours of Wednesday, Telugu Desam Party MP J C Diwakar Reddy, known for his controversial comments, found fault with his parents.
Without mentioning the name of Narayana, Diwakar Reddy said such accidents were happening because rich people had lost control over their children.
“In their eagerness to earn huge money, these affluent parents are ignoring their kids, as a result the latter are getting used to bad habits, spending late hours in bars and pubs. This is leading to accidents,” he said.
"Demanding that all pubs and bars should be closed by 11 pm, the TDP MP said the parents should keep track of the movement of their children. They should also dedicate some of their time to children," JC said.
