YSRC Has Proof Against Nimmagadda Letter?

Within hours of YSR Congress general secretary and parliamentary party leader V Vijay Sai Reddy dashed off a letter to Andhra Pradesh Director General of Police Gautam Sawang against former State Election Commissioner Nimmagadda Ramesh Kumar, the Telugu Desam Party leaders raised a lot of hue and cry accusing Sai Reddy of making false allegations.

Some time late in the night, Ramesh Kumar, too, gave a brief statement clarifying that the letter to Union home secretary was indeed written by him and that he had also got the acknowledgement for the same.

“I wrote the letter to the Union home secretary in the official capacity of SEC. There is no dispute in it and there is no scope for any allegations and counter allegations in this regard. I have also got the reply from the Centre for the same. It is between me and the Centre and there is no need for any concern for any third party,” Ramesh Kumar said.

Apparently, Ramesh Kumar was indicating that Sai Reddy had nothing to do with the letter written by him to the Centre and the allegations of forgery by the TDP leaders had no basis.

However, Sai Reddy is understood to have lodged the complaint with the DGP only after obtaining adequate evidences.

It is learnt he has collected proofs to show that the mail from Ramesh Kumar had not gone from the official mail ID of the SEC, but from a different mail ID.

Secondly, there is also said to be enough proof that the mail has not gone from the official computer, but from a different computer, as the IP address is said to be different.

May be, Nimmagadda Ramesh Kumar has used some other computer to send the same or it could have been forged.

That is precisely why Sai Reddy posed some direct questions to Ramesh Kumar to prove his credentials. He sought to know whether the letter addressed to Home Ministry has been signed by him or not.

Secondly, he also wanted to know from which IP address the letter has been sent to Home Ministry and thirdly, who had drafted the letter.

“If the answers are not satisfactory, then the DGP will register an FIR and refer the matter to Central forensic Lab,” Sai Reddy said.
