YS Jagan's Serious Move With BRS Defeat

After the ruling party's defeat in Telangana, there is a significant ripple effect on Andhra Pradesh politics. Chief Minister Jagan appears poised to draw lessons from the Bharat Rashtra Samithi's (BRS) loss in Telangana.

Evidence suggests that the BRS faced defeat in Telangana due to its failure to replace sitting MLAs. Positive outcomes were observed where new candidates were fielded.

In response to this, Jagan is reportedly planning a substantial overhaul, according to sources within the Yuvajana Sramika Rythu Congress Party (YCP).

While the YCP government is earnestly implementing welfare schemes, surpassing other state governments in the country, there is widespread propaganda suggesting opposition to the ruling party.

Reliable sources indicate that several survey organizations have submitted reports to Jagan, highlighting opposition to MLAs at the grassroots level.

Recognizing the potential consequences if incumbent MLAs lose the election, Jagan has resolved to replace MLAs in various constituencies.

Preparations for alternative candidates are reportedly underway, and Jagan is reaching out to MLAs who face substantial opposition according to various surveys.

Jagan has decided that tickets cannot be granted to MLAs who have irreparably tarnished their reputation. In cases where tickets cannot be awarded, nominated posts will be offered as an alternative. Some MLAs are maintaining silence in response to this development.

Regarding the Telugu Desam Party (TDP), members assert that their leader cannot afford to assert, as Jagan has, that tickets won't be given to unpopular leaders in the field.
