Why is Roja silent these days?

Why is Roja silent these days?

The war of words between the Telugu Desam Party and YSR Congress party has been going on even after the completion of polling for the assembly elections in Andhra Pradesh on April 11.

Several YSR Congress party leaders like V Vijay Sai Reddy, S Ramakrishna Reddy, Ambati Rambabu, Vasireddy Padma, Dharmana Prasada Rao, Botsa Satyanarayana and many others have been making it to headlines in the media with their scathing attack on TDP and its president N Chandrababu Naidu.

But one person who has been keeping a low profile and has not come before the media so far is actress and MLA from Nagari in Chittoor district R K Roja.

Even during the electioneering, she confined herself to her constituency and did not make any controversial statements, as she used to do in the past.

The only time she was visible was on the polling day, when she posed for photographs after casting her vote and also posted her selfies in the social media.

Enquiries revealed that Roja was not happy with the way several party seniors did not cooperate with her in the elections. Instead, she is said to be suspecting that several party leaders tried to sabotage her victory prospects.

Reports from the field indicated that Roja had faced a very tough battle, allegedly due to non-cooperation from the YSRC leaders in the district, in the elections.

The chances of her winning the seat are bleak and even if she wins, she might scrape through with narrow margin.

Apparently, some seniors in the party did not want Roja to win, as she would be the front runner for the cabinet post and would, therefore, spoil the chances of other leaders from the district, if YSRC comes to power.

Many of them are not happy with her highhanded behavior in the party. So, they reportedly worked against her, say sources.

Sensing her probable defeat, Roja has gone into silent mode, at least for now! But if she wins, she will be definitely back with a bang!
