Watch: Mahanadu Is a Big Drama Says Jagan

Former Andhra Pradesh Chief Minister and YCP chief Y. S. Jagan Mohan Reddy came down heavily on the TDP's Mahanadu event, branding it as theatrics rather than substance.

"The Mahanadu event is nothing but a grand drama. Chandrababu is merely striking poses at the event," Jagan said.

He continued, "Under the banner of Mahanadu, the Telugu Drama Party is conducting a show in Kadapa district. But heroism isn’t about holding Mahanadu in Kadapa — it’s about fulfilling promises made to the people. Simply conducting Mahanadu in Kadapa and criticizing Jagan doesn’t qualify as heroism."

Jagan added, "Chandrababu, mark my words — do you even have the strength to send your party workers door to door? That is the difference between the YSRCP government and Chandrababu’s administration."

He also mentioned, "The Chandrababu government hasn’t fulfilled even a single election promise. Their ‘Super Six’ and ‘Super Seven’ schemes have been thrown to the wind. They have ignored all 143 promises."

"Even for a small promise like free bus travel, the public is still waiting. Women in Kadapa are eagerly waiting for the day Chandrababu announces the free bus service so they can travel to Visakhapatnam," he said. "Another promise was free gas cylinders — those too have not been provided properly."

Jagan further remarked, "Today, you are all witnesses to the condition of the state and the current political climate. You can explain better than I can. Politics should be rooted in values. Leaders must understand the meaning of trust and credibility. Only then can we stand like a sacred tulsi plant in the political system."

He alleged, "For the first time in his rule, Chandrababu is dragging politics into disrepute."

"Democratically elected MPTC members, ZPTC members, councillors, and other public representatives — despite winning under different party symbols and with no support from his own — are being manipulated by Chandrababu," he stated.

Jagan concluded, "Even though he knows he lacks the strength and cannot win under his own party’s symbol, and despite being the Chief Minister who is expected to uphold democratic values, he is orchestrating the murder of democracy. This is a clear example of the tragic governance currently prevailing in the state."
