TDP-Jana Sena come out with 'mini manifesto'

Telugu Desam Party and Jana Sena Party, which have decided to forge alliance, have come out with a mini common manifesto to attract voters, for the upcoming assembly elections in Andhra Pradesh.

The manifesto comprises 11 points, including “Super Six” already announced by the TDP and five other schemes suggested by Jana Sena Party.

The manifesto has been prepared to attract all sections of people, said former minister and senior TDP leader Yanamala Ramakrishnudu.

The mini manifesto comprises promises like industrial rebate up to Rs 10 lakh for micro small and medium start-up units, incentives for aqua, horticulture and dairy farmers, continuation of Amaravati as the state capital, supply of rice to the poor free of cost and labour welfare.

“We shall prepare a common minimum programme of action for all sections of people. We have discussed the plan of action for all the issues which were largely ignored by the Jagan Mohan Reddy government,” he said.

Stating that a larger common manifesto would be prepared after discussing with all sections of people, Yanamala said the Jana Sena Party suggested a scheme called “Sowbhagya Patham” to help the youth take up self-employment scheme with financial assistance from the government.

In all, Jana Sena suggested six schemes including for the youth and women. Some of the points were already there in the TDP manifesto.

“Similarly, Pawan Kalyan made certain promises during his Vaarahi Yatra. After consolidating all of them, we shall prepare a common manifesto,” he said.

“We shall work out a comprehensive action plan in the name of Sampanna Andhra Pradesh to make the state rich by taking up various developmental programmes. Our endeavour is to make the state financially stable,” he said.
