TDP complains to Shah against CID chief

While taking the fight against the ruling YSR Congress party in Andhra Pradesh led by chief minister Y S Jagan Mohan Reddy into the people, the Telugu Desam Party has also upped the ante against the officials who are being used to target party president N Chandrababu Naidu.

On Thursday, TDP parliament member K Rammohan Naidu lodged a complaint with Union home minister Amit Shah against state Crime Investigation Department chief N Sanjay for deliberately launching a negative campaign against the TDP chief in the skill development scam.

The TDP MP alleged that the CID chief was completely working in favour of the YSRCP by blatantly violating the service rules.

While the All India Service officers are supposed to follow the rules and act impartially, Sanjay was making wild allegations against Chandrababu Naidu without showing any valid proofs.

“Sanjay is behaving like a YSRCP worker and acting as per the directions of the chief minister to sling mud at the TDP chief and other party leaders,” he said in his complaint to Shah.

Rammohan Naidu said even when the investigation into the skill development scam was going on, the CID additional director general was jumping the gun and declaring Naidu as the prime conspirator in the case.

“While the arrest of Naidu itself without obtaining any evidence was illegal, Sanjay was touring different parts of the country, addressing press conferences and declaring that the TDP chief had swindled crores of rupees, which is against the rules,” he said.

The TDP MP said if the CID found any evidence against Naidu, it should produce the same in the court and it was for the court to decide whether the TDP chief had committed any crime or not.

“But Sanjay, in the most irresponsible manner, was behaving like a YSRCP leader making wild allegations against Naidu by holding press conferences at Amaravati, Hyderabad and New Delhi. He is even disclosing to media the documents, which should have been placed before the court during the trial,” Rammohan Naidu said.
