Sajjala Smells Conspiracy Behind Raju's Episode

Senior YSR Congress party leader and advisor to the Andhra Pradesh government (public affairs) Sajjala Ramakrishna Reddy accused Telugu Desam Party president N Chandrababu Naidu of trying to destabilise the Jagan Mohan Reddy government using rebel MP K Raghurama Raju.

Strongly defending the sedition case filed by the Crime Investigation Department of Andhra Pradesh police against Raju, the YSRC leader said the MP had become a pawn in the hands of the TDP president and was conspiring against the chief minister.

“The arrest of Raju was not done following an overnight decision. The CID authorities filed a suo motu case against him only after gathering concrete evidences that showed that he was trying to destabilise the Jagan government,” Sajjala said.

He alleged that the TDP had chosen the backdoor methods to pull down the government by using Raghurama Krishnam Raju.

“If that is not the case, why is the TDP making a hue and cry over the arrest of a rival party MP?” he asked.

Stating that Raghurama Raju was spitting venom on the Jagan government for the last one year, Sajjala sought to know why the MP had not resigned from the party if he was not happy with the Jagan government.

“We have already complained to Lok Sabha Speaker Om Birla to take action against Raghurama Krishnam Raju and disqualify him for defying the party line and conspiring against the Jagan government,” he pointed out.
