Police Complaint Against Andhra Jyothi

A complaint was given to the police against Andhra Jyothi daily for misleading people and playing with the lives of candidates who have written the village secretariat exam.

Ruling YSR Congress State secretary Pyla Narasimhaiah had lodged this complaint with Tadipatri DSP Srinivasulu on Sunday.

Narasimhaiah alleged that the Andhra Jyothi was spreading fake news about the village secretariat exam question paper leakage causing tension and agony to the 19.50 lakh candidates who appeared for it.

He said that the State government had taken up recruitment of 1.26 lakh candidates for the village and ward secretariats across the State. The exam was conducted from September 1 to 8 and the results were released on September 19.

The recruitment process will begin this week and the village and ward secretariats will start functioning from October 2.

While the government is moving forward with its plans on recruitment, Andhra Jyothi is publishing news about the leakage of question paper to a select set of people who scored the top ranks.

Narasimhaiah told the police that the news was disturbing and disappointing as 1.26 lakh candidates in distress over their future.

The YSR Congress leader said that Andhra Jyothi and its publisher Vemuri Radhakrishna were spreading fake news only to create socio-political unrest in the state.

As this is a bigger game of politics, it is to be seen what the police would do.

Will the police act like they are acting in the case of social media posts or will they wait for the clearance from the government to make next move, is the big question now.
