Odisha CM Thanks Jagan For Quick Response

Odisha chief minister Naveen Patnaik on Saturday expressed his gratitude to his Andhra Pradesh counterpart Y S Jagan Mohan Reddy for making arrangements for sending Odisha workers stranded in AP back to his state.

He also assured Jagan that all the Andhra migrant workers, students, professionals, pilgrims, and tourists stuck up in Odisha due to the 40-day lockdown would also be sent back to their homes.

Jagan and Naveen Patnaik spoke to each other through a video conference on Saturday. The Odisha CM appreciated the efforts put up by the State in controlling the Covid-19.

Both the chief ministers spoke about the shifting migrant workers from Andhra to Odisha and vice-versa.

Jagan said that nearly 20,000 people from Odisha are in Andhra Pradesh and 1900 of them are in relief camps have shown interest in leaving to Odisha. The state government will make sure to provide better facilities for those opting to stay in the State.

Union petroleum and steel minister Dharmendra Pradhan joined the video conference from Delhi and applauded the State efforts in taking care of migrant workers.
