NTR was incapable fellow, says YSRC minister

The YSRC leaders have been reacting cautiously to the change of name of NTR health university as YSR health university without uttering a word against N T Rama Rao, the legendary actor and former chief minister N T Rama Rao.

Even YSRC president and chief minister Y S Jagan Mohan Reddy, while replying to the debate on health university name change, confined to his explanation as to why he had to change the name and refrained from making any negative comments against NTR.

In fact, he declared that he had all the respect for NTR and that was why he had named a district after the actor’s name, though he was the founder of the TDP.

He turned the tables on TDP president N Chandrababu Naidu saying the latter had no moral right to claim the legacy of NTR.

Almost all the party leaders had a word of praise for NTR, while attacking the TDP leaders including Naidu.

But on Monday, state roads and buildings minister Dadishetty Ramalingeshwara Rao alias Raja kicked up a new controversy by making sensational comments against the legendary actor.

Dadisetty Raja said there was no bigger useless fellow than NTR in the entire country.

“Despite being the chief minister of the state, he got the backstabbing twice. He was the most incapable political leader in the entire country,” he said.

He wondered how NTR could not identify the betrayers within the party.

“First it was Nadendla Bhaskar Rao who usurped the throne from NTR. Secondly, it was Chandrababu Naidu who backstabbed him to capture power. What was NTR doing though he had the state in his grip?” Raja asked.

The minister said NTR was no match to former chief minister late Y S Rajasekhar Reddy, who had a vision to develop the state on all fronts.

“So, there is nothing wrong in changing the name of the health university after YSR by dropping NTR’s name,” he observed.
