NITI Aayog VC Pats AP On Welfare Schemes, RBKs

NITI Aayog vice-chairman Dr Rajiv Kumar and his team visited Andhra Pradesh on Wednesday.

The team visited Veerapaneni Gudem in Krishna district, where they interacted with the farmers and the general public.

They also looked around and collected information about the Rythu Bharosa Kendras (RBKs), the activities attached to these RBKs, including e-crop, and gave a pat on the back of the government for the initiatives.

The NITI Aayog team also congratulated the government for its initiative of giving Rs 10 lakh to the orphan children who lost their parents due to Covid 19. 

Dr Rajiv Kumar appreciated the administration for the activities for the uplift of the farmers, women and children.

They looked into the Nadu-Nedu programme through which better infrastructure is provided in the schools and hospitals. Dr Rajiv Kumar wanted other states to follow these initiatives.

Later, when the team met chief minister Y S Jagan Mohan Reddy, Dr Rajiv Kumar was all praise for the government. 

The NITI Aayog vice-chairman told the chief minister that he would present the AP government’s welfare initiatives to other states.

He also said that other states would have to implement some of the programmes of the AP government, particularly in helping the farm sector.

The NITI Aayog team also visited Village Secretariats where they were told about taking administration to the door steps of the people.

He congratulated the government for decentralisation of administration which would minimise the risk of common man.
