SEC Nimmagadda Ramesh Kumar is in district tour pertaining to the upcoming Panchayat Elections. First he started his tour from Rayalaseema.
He met the officers in Anantapur and Kurnool to review the procedures. A section of media has reported an incident that took place in Anantapur.

As per the report in the daily it went like this:
'SEC conducted a review meeting in Anantapur. In the process he asked the KRRC Deputy Collector ..."Did you go through the news dailies today? Do you have the idea of what Governor said?".
To this the Dep Collector answered "I don't read news or watch TV".
SEC turned red with anger to this reply and censured, "How can you perform your duties without the knowledge of what is happening around?".
The Officer got frightened and tried to give explanation.
After a pause SEC asked his name.
The Dep Collector replied, "Vishveshwara Naidu".
Hearing this Nimmagadda got alerted, looked into the face of Dep Collector and said "Oh Naidu?!.. I am Sorry"...'
