Nimmagadda Is Mentally Derailed, Says Sai Reddy

Known for his pungent and sarcastic comments against his political rivals, YSR Congress party general secretary and parliamentary party leader V Vijay Sai Reddy on Friday came down heavily on state election commissioner Nimmagadda Ramesh Kumar for issuing a series of orders asking for action against certain IAS officers and ministers.

Sai Reddy was reacting to the letter written by Nimmagadda seeking transfer of Praveen Prakash, principal secretary in chief minister’s office, besides his complaint to the Governor seeking action against ministers Peddireddy Ramachandra Reddy and Botsa Satyanarayana.

“Nimmagadda seems to have gone mad. He has become mentally deranged person as was evident from the way he is issuing orders against the government and officers. He should be sent to a mental hospital for treatment. He is unfit to be in that constitutional position,” Sai Reddy said, speaking to media in Visakhapatnam.

Accusing Nimmagadda of suffering from cast mania, Sai Reddy said the SEC was taking actions without any rhyme or reason.

“He is not impartial, but has been dancing to the tune of Telugu Desam Party president N Chandrababu Naidu,” he said.

He said in fact, Chandrababu Naidu’s soul has entered Nimmagadda’s body as was the case with Chandramukhi character in Rajinikanth film.

“The body may be that of Nimmagadda but the soul inside belongs to Chandrababu Naidu. And that is why Nimmagadda is shouting Laka, Laka, Laka against the government,” Sai Reddy said.

He wondered why no action was taken against Chandrababu Naidu who had released his party’s election manifesto despite knowing that the gram panchayat elections are not fought on party lines.

“It is a blatant violation of the election code. Why is the SEC not taking action against him?” he asked.

The YSRC general secretary sought to know why Nimmagadda did not conduct the local body elections in 2018.

“But when we started the election process, he stalled them unilaterally without any reason,” he criticised.
