Naidu's House Ready For Demolition?

Naidu's House Ready For Demolition?

As expected, Telugu Desam Party president and former Andhra Pradesh chief minister N Chandrababu Naidu will be shunted out of his present residence at Vundavalli in Amaravati sooner or later.

A clear indication to this effect was given by YSR Congress party president and chief minister Y S Jagan Mohan Reddy on Monday.

Jagan, who made an inaugural address at the Collectors’ Conference held at “Praja Vedika” conference hall, constructed right adjacent to Naidu’s residence, declared the building as illegal.

Showing a report prepared by AP Capital Region Development Authority (APCRDA), Jagan said Praja Vedika building was built unauthorisedly by the previous TDP government violating the river water zone regulation norms.

“We have assembled here in a building which was built against the rules, laws and with corruption. It was built against the suggestions of Lok Ayukta. I have deliberately called for a meeting here only to tell you that the building is illegal and show what we should not do as rulers,” Jagan said.

Stating that the government would take action if anybody violates laws, Jagan wondered how a government itself had violated all the rules in the construction of Praja Vedika.

The chief minister ordered that it would be demolished soon.

“Tomorrow, I will be holding the meeting with IPS officers in the same hall. And that will be the last meeting here. From Wednesday, the demolition of this building will begin,” he announced.

Jagan also hinted at the demolition of Naidu’s residence.

“We will demolish all such illegal constructions on the banks of Krishna river. The demolitions will begin with Praja Vedika and it will be followed by other such illegal buildings,” he said.
