Key man in Jagan team sidelined for fake surveys?

A self-styled strategist, who had been playing a key role in the team of YSR Congress party president and Andhra Pradesh chief minister Y S Jagan Mohan Reddy since the latter came to power in May 2019, has now been completely sidelined, sources close to the CMO said.

This man has been associated with Jagan right from the days of the launch of the YSR Congress party and after Jagan became the chief minister, he has been part of the core team in the CMO, poking his nose in every department’s functioning.

There are allegations that this man has also been involved in transfer of officials, particularly in the police department and had made a big money.

For the last one year, he is learnt to have been entrusted with the responsibility of conducting surveys on the implementation of the welfare schemes at the grassroots level and functioning of the village secretariats etc.

It is learnt he has been drawing more than Rs 2 crore from a government department every month in the name of surveys.

He has a team of a handful of people, who he has been using to manipulate the data and presenting fabricated survey reports to the chief minister.

Recently, Jagan is learnt to have received a confidential report on the functioning of this man and his team.

He reportedly pulled up this gentleman who has been misleading him with fake surveys. He quietly sidelined the person.

In his place, the chief minister has decided to bring back the team of Indian Political Action Committee (IPAC) of strategist Prashant Kishor and entrust to it the task of conducting surveys on the functioning of the administration at the grassroots level and performance of his party MLAs and MPs.

Sources said this gentleman has taken advantage of the powers given to him by Jagan and misused the same to make big money.

“It is only a matter of time that the chief minister will get rid of this person from his team,” sources added.
