Jagan Wants This TDP MLA To Be Silenced Forever!

YSR Congress party president and Andhra Pradesh chief minister Y S Jagan Mohan Reddy on Thursday demanded stern action against Telugu Desam Party legislator from Palakole Nimmala Rama Naidu so that the latter cannot open his mouth in the assembly forever.

Jagan made these comments after moving a privilege motion against Rama Naidu for allegedly misleading the House by distorting the issue of granting pensions to various sections of people.

“I request the hon’ble speaker to take action against the TDP MLA for breach of privilege of the House by telling lies on the pensions issue. Action should be taken against him in such a way that he should not get an opportunity to speak in the assembly again,” the chief minister demanded.

Speaker Tammineni Sitaram agreed with the chief minister and warned Rama Naidu against speaking untruths on the floor of the House and misleading the members.

“On the request of the chief minister, I am referring Rama Naidu’s issue to the privileges committee of the legislature,” Sitaram said.

Earlier, Rama Naidu alleged that Jagan had gone back on his pre-election promise that if YSRC was voted to power in the state, he would give Rs 3,000 per month to the pensioners.

“What happened to the pensioners? Why are you giving only Rs 2,200 per month?” he asked.

Strongly reacting to the TDP legislator’s comments, the chief minister described him as “Drama Naidu.” He pointed out that in the election manifesto, he had clearly stated that he would give a pension of Rs 2,500 to all the pensioners.

“I am implementing the manifesto in letter and spirit,” he said.
