Jagan Proposes Action Against TDP MLAs

Chief Minister Y S Jagan Mohan Reddy had recommended strong and disciplinary action against the TDP legislators who crossed the rules of the Assembly.

He made this comments on Wednesday, when the TDP MLAs held a protest at the Speaker’s Podium as soon as the House met for the third day.

The chief minister said that the opposition was crossing its limits on the floor just to disturb the House and derail the proceedings.

He further said that the ruling party was prepared to give more time to the Opposition though the TDP has less number in the House.

“I want Chandrababu Naidu to give suggestions to the government on its programmes. He is experienced and the government looks towards him for constructive suggestions. Unfortunately, the opposition leader is politicising and disturbing the House,” Jagan Mohan Reddy said.

Taking strong exception to the TDP legislators’ unruly behaviour in the House, the chief minister sought disciplinary action.

He also alleged that the TDP legislators were behaving like rowdies and were threating everyone in the House, including the Chair.

“The TDP MLAs have no interest in participating in the debates. They are not interested in providing constructive criticism. They are not interested to honour the democracy and allow the Assembly to function as per the rules,” the chief minister said.

Several members of the ruling party also supported the chief minister’s demand and condemned the attitude of the TDP MLAs in the House and the disrespect given to the Chair.
