Jagan Plans Weekly Visits to Village Secretariats

Chief Minister Y S Jagan Mohan Reddy is planning to visit the village and ward secretariats soon.

The chief minister revealed his intentions to visit the villages to the district collectors and the SPs during his interaction with them through video conference on Tuesday.

However, they would have to wait for the chief minister to visit them till the Covid 19 pandemic settles down and the situation returns to normalcy.

In the meanwhile, the chief minister told the district Collectors to visit the village and ward secretariats on regular intervals.

He also told the joint collectors, municipal commissioners and the ITDA project directors to visit the village secretariats and ensure that work in those offices is streamlined.

Meanwhile, the government had delegated another 200 works taking the total works performed at the village and ward secretariats to 740.

These works included registration activity which is currently held at the offices of the sub-registrars across the state.

The works from the Mandal Revenue Offices (MRO), Municipal Corporation and Municipality too are delegated to the village and ward secretariats making it easy for the people to get things done.

Once the works are streamlined, the chief minister wants to visit them and interact with the people twice a week.

This would be Jagan Mohan Reddy’s mass contact programme, if it begins as anticipated.
