Jagan Not Worried About KCR Campaign?

The recent bonhomie between YSR Congress party president Y S Jaganmohan Reddy and Telangana Rashtra Samithi president K Chandrasekhar Rao has created ripples in political circles and at the same time, a lot of apprehensions in the rank and file of the YSRC.

There has been a talk that friendship with the TRS might prove counterproductive to the YSRC president, because of the high sentiment among the Seemandhra people against KCR, who was responsible for the bifurcation of the combined state.

Several analysts are also of the same view that if KCR campaigns for the YSRC in Andhra, it would only help Telugu Desam Party president and Andhra Pradesh chief minister N Chandrababu Naidu, who will go all out to exploit the anti-KCR sentiment among the people of Andhra.

However, Jagan is said to be of the view that KCR’s campaign would not make much difference as the people have already decided to vote Naidu out of power.

“On the other hand, it will only help the YSRC, if KCR addresses a few meetings and exposes Naidu, as everybody knows the TRS chief has a better knowledge about Naidu’s wily politics,” he is learnt to have told his party colleagues.

In fact, during his meetings, KCR is expected to extend his full support to the YSRC struggle for special category status to AP.

At the same time, KCR would also bring MIM president Asaduddin Owaisi with him and it would help garner the support of minorities, Jagan feels.

In fact, the YSRC chief got a positive response from the crowds when he said at his BC garjana meeting on Sunday that he would meet KCR and discuss the issue of removal of 32 sub-castes from BC category.

It might have given the impression that KCR would not get much resistance if he campaigned in Andhra.
