Jagan Cancels Land Deals Of Naidu

The YSR Congress government in AP had cancelled the land deals committed by the previous TDP government. 

The cabinet meeting had given its approval to cancel the two major deals signed by the Chandrababu Naidu government. 

One of the two was allotment of 498.93 acres of land at Jayantipuram village in Jaggaiahpet mandal was allocated to the kin of Chandrababu Naidu as it was found that the decision was unethical. 

The other deal was allotment of 13.83 cents of land to a company called Lulu in Visakhapatnam. 

While the market value of the land was Rs 50 crore, it was given at a meagre cost of Rs 4 lakh per acre which was unethical, said Information and Public Relations Minister Perni Venkatramiah while briefing media on the cabinet decisions.

Naidu government had claimed big about allocating the land to Lulu Group in Visakhapatnam and held series of campaigns claiming it as big achievement. 

The cabinet also accepted the proposals to start two missions – one to clean Krishna and Godavari canals and one to provide basic infrastructure to the State making use of the available government lands. 

The two missions would be headed by chief minister Jagan Mohan Reddy. 

The cabinet also approved the proposal to establish “Connect to Andhra” to mobilize and utilize funds under the Corporate Social Responsibility (CSR) by various private and corporate companies.
