Is Sujana Chowdary a TDP mole in BJP?

It has been nearly two months since Rajya Sabha member Y S Chowdary, also known as Sujana Chowdary, quit the Telugu Desam Party and joined the Bharatiya Janata Party.

Though there were suspicions that he had joined the BJP at the behest of TDP president N Chandrababu Naidu to safeguard his business interests, Sujana had refuted the same many times and claimed that his main objective is to make the BJP a powerful alternative to the YSR Congress party.

However, at no point of time one had heard Sujana making critical comments against the TDP or Naidu, unlike the other BJP leaders who have been a little harsh.

But of late, he had been defending the decisions of the previous TDP government while attacking the ruling YSR Congress party headed by chief minister Y S Chowdary.

This has led to the talk that Sujana was indeed a plant of the TDP president in the BJP to attack the YSRC, so that it would ultimately benefit the TDP.

In his latest comments against YSRC government, Sujana alleged that Jagan appeared to be keen on opposing the projects of the previous TDP government and his whole objective was to undo various initiatives taken by the TDP.

He pointed out that the cancellation of contracts in the wake of an economic depression forecast was very wrong.

"YSRCP is involved in redundant feats such as reverse tendering and forward tendering. The government should see how much work has been done so far, take stock of the pending part and seek financial assistance to complete Polavaram Project rather," he pointed out.

Sujana said the decisions made by the State government had brought economic activity to a standstill.

“Signs of improvement will be witnessed only if the YSRCP goes beyond getting personal in handling several initiatives, including tackling natural calamities," Chowdary alleged.

Chowdary demanded that relief to the flood-hit be increased from Rs 5,000 to Rs 10,000.
