YSR Congress party MLA from Tadikonda Vundavalli Sridevi on Monday took pot shots at Jana Sena Party chief and actor Pawan Kalyan for claiming that his party had put up an impressive show in the just concluded local body elections.
Speaking to reporters at the YSRC headquarters, Sridevi said Pawan Kalyan ceased to be a power star in politics.
“He is not a power star, but a powerless star in politics. He has little presence in the state politics,” she ridiculed.
The YSRC MLA said when new comers like her could win the assembly elections in 2019 with an impressive majority under the leadership of chief minister Y S Jagan Mohan Reddy, Pawan Kalyan, who was heading a political party had lost in both the seats.
“He is not Pawan Kalyan, but Pawan Naidu. He will not make any impact on the state politics, as he appears once in six months,” she said.
Sridevi claimed that the YSRC had won majority of the gram panchayats in Tadikonda, as the people had voted for the welfare schemes of Jagan Mohan Reddy.
“The so-called bastions of the TDP were also conquered by the YSRC. It is surprising that the TDP is celebrating the victory of the YSRC,” she criticised.
The MLA said the YSRC would win hands down in any elections that might be held in future.
“In the coming municipal elections, too, the YSRC would record massive victory,” she said.
