Ground Report: Pawan's Situation In Bheemavaram

We witnessed Pawan Kalyan's defeat in the 2019 elections from the Bheemavaram constituency, one of the two constituencies he contested, the other being Gajuwaka.

There has been an opinion that Pawan's graph has shot up in Godavari districts in the last few years.

Bheemavaram is a town in the Godavari Districts, and so there was hope among Janasena supporters that Pawan might secure a victory from this place in the upcoming 2024 general elections.

However, a recent survey report from the area indicates that Pawan's reputation has further declined over the past five years.

This outcome is not surprising, given that he has spent very little time here and has generally been engaged in politics only part-time. Additionally, his speeches lack reasonable logic, making it difficult to consider him a credible leader.

The survey highlights a significant decline in Pawan's vote share from communities other than Kapus in the region. Only a few die-hard Kapu voters, who have remained loyal to Janasena, still support Pawan Kalyan. Even a large chunk of educated Kapus are not by his side, says the report.

Given these circumstances and the substantial damage to his image, it is evident that Janasena, including Pawan Kalyan as a candidate, would face a resounding defeat in Bheemavaram during the 2024 elections.
