TDP chief N Chandrababu Naidu has launched a website 'www.apwithamaravati.com' asking the people to vote on the capital issue and express their opinions in the comments section.
The idea is fine but many netizens are questioning the credibility of the voting result he is going to show because it is his own website.
Everybody knows that the English word 'credibility' is missing in Babu's dictionary. They are expressing doubts that Chandrababu may manipulate the result as per his wish and political strategy.
He can claim that the majority of the people have voted for Amaravati and they are opposing 3-Capitals plan.
If he really has guts and if he is a true leader, he can follow the strategy adopted by KCR when he was spearheading Telangana agitation.
Whenever there was a tough situation, he tried to prove the public support to the agitation by resigning and going for the elections.
KCR used to directly claim that he is doing it for the sake of the Telangana formation. People used to give him thumping majority expressing their wish for the state formation.
YS Jagan also adopted a similar strategy when he floated a new party YCP coming out of Congress. He went to the elections to prove that the public were with him. People gave a clear mandate that they were with Jagan.
But these leaders have never launched websites to take the public opinion.
Chandrababu can go to elections to prove the public support. If he thinks that it is difficult to make all the TDP MLAs resign to go for elections, he can at least ask the TDP MLAs, MPs from Krishna, Guntur to go for the election by submitting their resignations.
If they don't agree with this proposal, Babu himself can resign and go for election to prove public support. Anyway, Kuppam is the stronghold of Babu and he never tasted defeat there.
He can go for elections and win the seat to prove his claims that people are in favor of Amaravati as the only capital.
He can say his contest is going to be a referendum on the capital issue. We can never expect such a daring attitude from Babu.
The leader who doesn't have any guts will choose this kind of website strategy.
