CBI Court Summons Jagan In Vanpic Case

The CBI and ED court in Hyderabad had issued summons to AP Chief Minister Y S Jagan Mohan Reddy and others to attend the court on September 22.

The court took up the Vanpic case for hearing and issued summons to all the accused including Jagan Mohan Reddy.

The others who are accused in the case and to whom the court issued summons included MPs Vijasai Reddy, Mopidevi Venkata Ramana, MLA Dharmana Prasada Rao and senior official K V Brahmananda Reddy.

The court also issued summons to industrialists Nimmagadda Prasad and Nimmagadda Prakash in the same case, besides retired IAS officers M Samuel and Manmohan Singh.

The CBI and the ED court also issued summons to the Jagati Publications owned by Jagan Mohan Reddy family, besides 12 other companies, which are accused in the case.

All these persons are accused in the Vodarevu-Nizampatnam Port and Industrial Corridor (Vanpic) project in Prakasam district.

It was a joint venture project with Ras Al Khaimah, which later filed complaints against Nimmagadda Prasad.

The case is linked to the quid pro quo investments made allegedly by Jagan Mohan Reddy when his father Y S Rajasekhar Reddy was the chief minister.

Nimmagadda Prasad was arrested in Belgrade by the Serbian police in July 2019, following Ras Al Khaimah, which claimed that it had suffered financial losses as the project landed in court cases.
