BRS MLA's Loose Talk Sparks Political Storm

BRS MLA Padi Kaushik Reddy appears to believe that hurling abuse at political opponents will please his party leadership and earn him applause from supporters.

In Telangana politics, he has become known for this kind of provocative behavior.

His latest target was Chief Minister Revanth Reddy, against whom he made sensational and baseless allegations that have stirred media attention.

Speaking to reporters yesterday, Kaushik Reddy made a shocking and unfounded claim, alleging that CM Revanth Reddy visits an actress’s residence at night.

The comments, which lacked any evidence, triggered a strong backlash. By today, the scene outside Kaushik Reddy’s residence turned chaotic, with both political workers and police gathering in large numbers.

Meanwhile, Congress leaders filed a police complaint against him for making inappropriate remarks about the Chief Minister.

This isn't the first time Kaushik Reddy has courted controversy. In the past, he sparked a major row over his comments on Arekapudi Gandhi, which escalated into a near-physical altercation.

While many BRS leaders stick to policy-based criticism, Kaushik Reddy often crosses the line into personal attacks to stay in the spotlight.

Party insiders suggest that Kaushik Reddy is trying to build a favorable image in his constituency by playing the sympathy card and remaining in the news. However, his frequent controversial statements seem to be backfiring.

It’s worth noting that Kaushik Reddy joined the BRS just before the last elections. Ironically, while he’s relatively new to the party, he’s been more aggressive than veteran BRS leaders when it comes to attacking rivals.

Interestingly, he once played a key role in the Congress party and was known for his sharp criticism of KCR before switching sides.
