Telangana Pradesh Congress Committee president and Malkajgiri MP A Revanth Reddy on Tuesday called upon the farmers of the state to hurl eggs and stones at the Telangana Rashtra Samithi leaders for betraying the farming community.
Speaking to reporters at New Delhi, Revanth said the TRS MPs had been enacting dramas for the last one week and as expected, they boycotted the Parliament on Tuesday.
“It is all part of an understanding between TRS chief K Chandrasekhar Rao and Prime Minister Narendra Modi,” he alleged.
The PCC chief wondered what the chief minister was doing in his farm house now, though he had claimed that he would shake the national capital on paddy procurement issue.
“For the last two months, farmers are facing a lot of hardship due to lack of procurement. Every day, four to five farmers are committing suicide,” he said.
He demanded that the state procure the entire paddy from the farmers.
“Otherwise, the farmers will beat them with chappals, eggs, stones and sticks,” he said.
