Are Galla, Kesineni, Kodela Planning To Join YSRCP?

As the state heads towards the next round of general elections in early 2024, the political landscape is witnessing significant changes.

Leaders are switching parties, and parties are strategizing and developing their manifestos.

Vijayawada MP Kesineni Nani is making bold political statements and aligning closely with the ruling YSRCP leaders.

It is rumored that he is planning to join the YSRCP and contest the 2024 elections, dealing a significant blow to the TDP.

The TDP's decision to appoint former Congress and BJP leader Kanna Lakshminarayana as the party incharge for the Sathenapalli constituency has caused distress to the Kodela family.

Kodela Sivaram, son of late Kodela Siva Prasada Rao, is unhappy with this appointment and is holding meetings with his supporters in the Palnadu region.

Although he initially announced that he would contest as an independent candidate, there are speculations that he is also considering joining the ruling YSRCP.

In addition to Sivaram, another significant shock is looming in Guntur district. Sources suggest that Guntur MP Galla Jayadev is also planning to switch over to the YSR Congress.

Similar to Kesineni Nani, Jayadev did not attend the party's Mahandu at Rajamahendravaram and is reportedly discontent with the TDP's politics.

Of course, even the ruling YSR Congress has some leaders contemplating their exit from the party, while MLAs like Kotamreddy Sridhar Reddy and Anam Ramanarayana Reddy have already joined the TDP.
