AP CS Writes To Union Health Secretary

AP CS Writes To Union Health Secretary

In what is called a last minute effort, AP chief secretary Adityanath Das had written to the Union Secretary seeking guidance to handle vaccination.

As the state government machinery was now forced to go for local body elections following Supreme Court’s order, the chief secretary told the Union Health Secretary that vaccination would be difficult now as the frontline workers have been sent to different locations for election duty.

The chief secretary further said that those who were given first dose of the vaccination were also moved to different locations due to elections and monitoring them for the second dose had become impossible.

The front line workers who included health workers and police were now out of the reach of the covin software through which they were under constant and close monitoring.

These people were also out of the covid protocol and it had become difficult for the government to continue the vaccination.

The chief secretary wanted advice and guidance from the Central health secretary on handling both the covid vaccine and local body elections.

It is to be seen what the Central government health secretary would advise the government.
