AP Cabinet panel gives report on Naidu's corruption

The cabinet sub-committee had submitted its report to chief minister Y S Jagan Mohan Reddy on the corruption during the last five years of Chandrababu Naidu.

The cabinet sub-committee headed by finance minister Buggana Rajendranath met Chief Minister Jagan Mohan Reddy in the secretariat on Friday and submitted its report, a few minutes before the cabinet meeting.

The sub-committee looked into the issues of insider trading in Amaravati lands, irrigation projects and land allocation to various private companies.

The committee took the help of the state intelligence and the CID during its investigation into all these charges and prepared a detailed report.

The findings of the report would be forwarded to the CBI for further action, the sources in the government said.

Finance Minister Rajendranath had already hinted at the insider trading by the TDP leaders in Amaravati with prior information from the government.

The finance minister had already revealed a list of names of the TDP leaders in the Assembly who have purchased lands around Amaravati.

The names included former ministers Nara Lokesh, Prathipati Pullarao, P Narayana and Chandrababu Naidu family-owned Heritage group.

The report found that Chandrababu Naidu and his ministers for leaking the confidential information to the people against the oath that they took on the constitution.

The report sought action against Chandrababu Naidu and his ministers for the breach of trust by leaking government information in advance and encouraging insider trading. The Heritage had purchased over 1500 acres of land just outside the capital city.

The cabinet sub-committee also left the decision to the chief minister, who is likely take a call on the report in a day or two.
