ABV targets Jagan govt in Viveka murder case!

Senior IPS officer and former intelligence chief of Andhra Pradesh A B Venkateshwar Rao, who is facing the allegations of irregularities in the import of security equipment from Israel during the Chandrababu Naidu regime, appears to have decided to create troubles for the Jagan government by raking up the murder case of Jagan’s uncle Y S Vivekananda Reddy.

Two days ago, ABV has written to Central Bureau of Investigation (CBI) requesting that the investigation agency expedite the case into the Vivekananda Reddy murder case and questioning the lack of progress in the case.

ABV, who was the state intelligence chief at the time of murder, told the CBI authorities that he had specific information about the incident.

He said he had brought it to the notice of the CBI twice but there was no response. Even the investigating officer N K Singh did not evince any interest in taking his version.

He pointed out that some MPs had tried to project Vivekananda Reddy’s murder as heart attack or an accident.

He alleged that local MP Y S Avinash Reddy and other relatives had gained control over the scene of offence till the body was shifted to the hospital.

“They cleaned up the entire area and wiped out the vital evidences. They did not allow the media, intelligence police and the local police into the house. Some public representatives deliberately stalled the entry of the police,” ABV explained.

He suspected that after the new government was formed in May 2019, he was removed from the intelligence chief post and implicated in the cases only because he had given all the information with regard to the investigation into the murder case.
