Whenever we think of the film Dana Veera Soora Karna, we only remember the name of the great NT Rama Rao. It is only his image that comes to one's mind. NTR played triple roles in the film.
NTR played the roles of Duryodhana, Karna as well as Krishna. It was however, his action as Duryodhana that is the highlight of the film. Even though the film is named as DVS Karna, it was in Duryodhana's role that NTR excelled in the film.
What is little known however is that, there was another actor who did triple role in the film. The actor is none other than Chalapathi Rao. He played the roles of Karna's father, Indra and Jarasandha. For that matter even another small time actor also appears in various roles like a messenger, one among Kouravas and a eunuch in the film. That way many did multiple roles in the film. But NTR dominated the film so much that all other actors and characters were sidelined completely.
