The present generation actors are totally different. The heroines today are not only ready to shed their clothes at the slightest excuse, but are even ready to do lip-to-lip kissing on screen in film after film.
Compare this with the older days. Forget about kissing, they did not dare to even hold the heroine in their arms, even in their dreams.
ANR was acting in a film with Jamuna. The enterprising director asked ANR to gently hit the hips of Jamuna with his hip. ANR was so shocked to hear this that he could not utter a word for some time. He later expressed his inability to do such a scene. The director later gave in to ANR's wishes and dropped the scene. Such was the principle of ANR those days.
