Speculation has been swirling around Vijay and his political plans after reports claimed that Pawan Kalyan had advised him to join the National Democratic Alliance (NDA). However, leaders from Vijay’s party have now strongly denied the claim.
Vijay, who recently launched his political party Tamilaga Vettri Kazhagam (TVK), has repeatedly stated that his party will contest all seats in the upcoming Tamil Nadu Assembly elections without forming alliances with any political party.
Over the past two days, social media and political circles were abuzz with rumours that Pawan Kalyan had called Vijay and suggested he join the NDA.
According to the speculation, the actor-politician allegedly advised Vijay to consider an alliance strategy and even cited his own political journey as an example.
Reports claimed Pawan Kalyan told Vijay that contesting alone in the 2019 Andhra Pradesh Assembly Elections did not work for him and his party managed to win only one seat.
Later, by joining hands with the Telugu Desam Party and Bharatiya Janata Party, he became part of an alliance that eventually helped him secure the Deputy Chief Minister position.
The rumours further suggested that Vijay was advised to join the NDA, contest around 50 seats, and take the Deputy Chief Minister post if the alliance comes to power.
However, a senior TVK leader, Aadhav Arjuna, has dismissed these claims. He clarified that no such conversation took place and reiterated that Vijay’s party has no plans to join any alliance.
Despite the rumours and political speculation, Vijay himself has not made any direct statement on the issue yet.
