Vijay Deverakonda refuses to watch Kabir Singh

Shahid Kapoor starrer Kabir Singh, a Hindi remake of 2017 Telugu hit Arjun Reddy, has emerged blockbuster at the box office, and is the highest grossing film of the year, the lead star of the original, Vijay Deverakonda has no interest in watching the Sandeep Reddy Vanga directorial.

Present at a media interaction in Bengaluru for his upcoming Telugu film Dear Comrade, Vijay Devarakonda was asked if he has watched Kabir Singh.

According to a report, the actor denied and was quoted as saying that he has no interest in watching the remake as he already knows the story.

He said, "Shahid has done that film, and he has gone through the character, and there is nothing for me to watch it again. I know the story, I have done that film, what will I watch again?"

He further added that the director Sandeep Reddy Vanga had been requesting him to watch the Hindi remake.

He said, "Kya Picture, Kya dekenge. I wanted the Hindi film to be a big hit, because Sandeep is my man. But unexpectedly, it became a blockbuster. Done. No more discussion there."

It is interesting to see the change in Vijay's attitude towards Kabir Singh, as just a couple of weeks back, he was "most curious" to watch the film and was quoted as saying, "I haven’t seen Kabir Singh yet as I was shooting in France. I came back to Hyderabad just a couple of days ago and have been down with viral fever since then. But I will catch it soon. I’m most curious to see what my friend and director Sandeep Vanga has done with the original story in the remake."
