Tweet Review: 'Adipurush', first day, first show

Prabhas' Adipurush is one of the most anticipated movie mounted on a massive  budget. The film, directed by Om Raut, has been making the news ever since it was launched.

Adipurush, based on the mythological epic Ramayan, stars Prabhas, Kriti Sanon and Saif Ali Khan in key roles.

The film will release is around 4000plus screens in Hindi alone and about 6200 sreens across languages.

Adipurush begins with Jai Shri Ram song as titles roll

The first scene begins with the Raavana character played by Saif Ali Khan.

Prabhas's introduction scene is performing Jala Stambhana and followed by a fight with creatures.

The Shivoham song on Raavan (Saif) is filmed well. But the Shoorpanaka episode is poorly visualised.

The lengthy episode of Sita Apaharan (Sita's abduction) is mounted on a big scale. This is interesting.

The first meeting between lord Rama and Hanuman is good. The dream song on Rama and Sita is neat.

The Lanka Dahanam sequence is not up to the mark.But film is progressing well.

The First Half Report: The first half ends with the  construction of Sethu (bridge) and Lord Ram vowing to bring back Sita. The screenplay is okay The film is  so far decent. Visual effects are not effective.

The second half begins with a brief flashback of scenes leading to vanavasam and immediately shifts to the preparation for war.

The first war episode is going on in Lanka.

A lengthy war episode with direct battle between Ram and Raavan is going on.

The film heads towards the climax.

The film ends with Ram uniting with Sita. Review follows.
