TTD gets into World Book of Records

Tirumala Tirupati Devasthanams (TTD) which manages the country’s richest temple of Lord Venkateshwara on Tirumala, has entered into the World Book of Records in recognition of its bountiful and unique services.

“We have added one more feather in the TTD’s cap with the recognition from the London-based organisation,” TTD Chairman Y V Subba Reddy said.

The World Book of Records usually appreciates, honours and catalogues extraordinary records across the World with Authentic Certification and encourages individuals, organizations and firms to set new records at the global level.

The WBR has certified Tirumala Tirupati Devasthanams(TTD) for being the world's largest institution based on five major indicators viz. number of footfalls to the Hill Shrine of Sri Venkateswara Swamy, number of tonsures performed, number of laddus prepared, number of servings of Annaprasadam and hassle-free management of serpentine queue line.

On behalf of WBR Indian Wing President Mr Santhosh Shukla, Joint Secretary Mr Ullaji has handed over the Certificate to TTD Chairman in Tirumala on Saturday evening for its unique achievements and setting new records in temple administration.
