Top 5: Uppena Dominates, Naandhi Sustains!

Top 5: Uppena Dominates, Naandhi Sustains!

1) Uppena: This film stood as the first big hit after the lock down season with steady collections in many areas.

Being the debut of Vaishnav Tej and Krithi Shetty, the film garnered decent attention for the public and Butchi Babu is hailed for his efficient directorial debut.

The film is on its way to hit the Rs 100 Cr gross in full run and it is need to be seen if that feat happens.

2) Naandhi: The film received positive critical response but the theater sources on the release day didn't expect much of the collections considering the genre of the film. But the collections picked up from Saturday and they are going steady.

It is good to see positive response from the audience for this kind of films unlike before.

3) Chakra: This Vishal's film has made good openings on Friday as the trailer had made an impact. Plus, Vishal’s previous movie, Abhimanyudu, was a hit.

But the monotonous narration and negative reactions from the audiences hurt the collections. It went downwards from Saturday.

4) Kapatadhari: The film starred by Sumanth proved to be a bad remake of the original version from Kannada.

The forced elements and not so emotionally connecting story line has marred the film. The collections were average on the first day but eventually the theaters got empty.

5) Pogaru: This much hyped film ended as a disaster at the box office. The reasonable collections that this film has pulled is only due to the presence of Rashmika.

The teasing song that was publicized for quite a long time has also added to pull a set of audience to the theaters on the first day. But finally it is labelled as a dud and the collections are conveying the same.
