The much-hyped clash between Tiger Shroff’s Baaghi 4 and Vivek Agnihotri’s The Bengal Files on September 5 has ended in disappointment, with both films failing to impress at the box office.
While Baaghi 4 has emerged as the weakest entry in the popular action franchise, The Bengal Files has turned into one of the biggest flops of 2025.
By Tuesday, The Bengal Files had managed to collect only ₹9.25 crore, and with just ₹1 crore on Wednesday, its six-day total stood at ₹10.25 crore.
Despite aggressive promotions by director Vivek Agnihotri across various platforms, the film has been unable to draw audiences to theatres.
Featuring an ensemble cast including Anupam Kher, Pallavi Joshi, Mithun Chakraborty, Darshan Kumar, Simrat Kaur, Saswata Chatterjee, Namashi Chakraborty, Puneet Issar, and Rajesh Khera, the film was positioned as the third and final part of Agnihotri’s “Files” trilogy after The Tashkent Files and The Kashmir Files.
However, unlike its predecessors, The Bengal Files has failed to strike a chord with viewers, cementing its place as a box office disaster.
