Megastar Chiranjeevi's magnum opus Sye Raa is slated for release on October 2, but the post production work is going on at a slow pace.
The Visual effects work is taking longer than expected, but Team Sye Raa is still sticking to the same release date. Even Chiranjeevi reaffirmed that Sye Raa would release on Gandhi Jayanthi.
Sye Raa cannot afford to miss out Oct 2nd release as it is the best possible date to release a biggie of this scale.
If Sye Raa misses out on Oct 2, it will be forced to go for Sankrathi release and there will be stiff competition at the box office.
Mahesh's Sarileru Neekevvaru and #AA19 are slated for Sankranthi release. A film like Sye Raa needs solo release and cannot risk of clashing with other films in any season.
The biggest chunk of its making cost should be recovered from Telugu markets although it is releasing in multiple languages.
Sye Raa release will be pushed only if the quality of VFX is not up to expectations.
