After missing out on the female lead role opposite Prabhas in Sandeep Reddy Vanga’s Spirit, Deepika Padukone has signed another major pan-Indian Telugu project.
She has reportedly agreed to star in Allu Arjun’s upcoming film, which will be directed by Atlee.
Despite the film featuring multiple heroines, Deepika had no objections and signed on, reportedly eager to be part of a big Telugu venture after losing Spirit.
One of the reasons behind her fallout with Vanga was her demand for ₹20 crore in remuneration, along with a 15% stake in the project — terms the director reportedly declined.
Now, speculation is swirling over what the makers of Allu Arjun’s film are paying her.
Sources indicate that Deepika will not be receiving any stake in this project. Instead, she is being paid the same remuneration she received for Kalki 2898 AD
