Sometimes the least-expected film would reap in big profits than the most-anticipated biggies.
For Suriya, “Jai Bhim” is one such film. After signing an exclusive deal with Amazon Prime for providing multiple films from his production House ‘2D Entertainments’, Suriya produced and starred in a content-based film, Jai Bhim.
The film was made with a limited budget. Except for a huge court set, the production cost for it was almost nominal.
The actors who have played their roles with great perfection are not popular faces. So, the remunerations for the cast and crew are also not a big amount. Suriya played a guest role in this movie.
But he sold it to Amazon Prime for Rs 45 Crore. The entire cost of production is roughly pegged at Rs 10 crore. So, he and his wife Jyothika have made a whopping Rs 35 crore profit on this deal.
Furthermore, “Jai Bhim” won rave reviews and the audiences’ reaction also brought him joy. A huge bonanza for Suriya, indeed!
